Jarrod Milton’s voice has the power to captivate you and hold you under its spell from the moment you hear it. Its gravelly, slightly raw texture posses a quality that keep you at the edge of your seat at all times and when you pair that with his stunning songwriting and the authentic instrumentation – you can’t help be drawn in even more. With latest offering “Sage”, a minimalist guitar led number, Milton channels just that as he finds solace in pain. Whilst you’re at it, be sure to check out his sensational debut album Girl which was released towards the end of last year – it’s beautiful!
It only takes one song to fall in love with an artist, and when that song just happens to be said artist’s debut single – it makes that connection that extra bit special. That’s exactly the case with Toronto newcomer Adrian Underhill whose debut offering “Not Good Enough” is anything but what the title suggests. Produced by Kindness, who gives the track that sparkling and soothing aesthetic, it’s Underhill’s poignant and poetic songwriting topped off by those consoling vocals that truly shine. You’ll have this one repeat – it’s THAT good!
London artist Minke impressed earlier this year with her marvelous debut single “Gold Angel” which has now been streamed over 3 million times since its release. This past month, she followed up the mesmerising introduction with “Armour”, another powerful and groovy affair which simply doesn’t disappoint. Showcasing a more upbeat and fiery side to the singer’s repertoire, “Armour” is another reason as to why Minke is an artist who’s set for big things – check out both tracks below!
Having uploaded a couple gems in the form of “Sadboy” and “Escape” to SoundCloud in previous months, Dutch songstress Naaz introduces herself properly with “Words”. Serving as the lead single to her forthcoming debut EP called Bits of Naaz, the self-produced track is a taste of the 18 year-old’s unquestionable talents as a singer, songwriter and producer. Subtly bringing together electronic nuances with percussive bursts to soundtrack that effortlessly sweet voice of hers, “Words” wonderfully sets the scene for what’s to come – and we can’t wait to hear it!
